This season from mid-September to upper November is the best season for mountain biking thanks to the cool temperature and good weather. Today, all 6 courses including Hitotoki Downhill which has a special course open today on Sep. 11 (Sun) (Beginner *Only a course for both bikes and Mountain Cart was open before Sep. 10). I could see people enjoying the downhill course which has an altitude gap of 521m just after the open at 9:00 a.m. (Photo).

On Sep. 24 (Sat), “Night Ride Session” will be held from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Hakuba Iwatake MTB PARK as an event of “IWATAKE AUTUMN FESTIVAL” (*Fee JPY2,400, Season Pass and Discount Ticket will be not available). By the way, the standard MTB equipment, a main light over 1,000lm and a sub-light will be required to join this session.

In Hakuba Hitotoki-no-mori, “Scenic Relax YOGA” (Free) will be held in the autumn season as well as the summer. It will be held for 30 minutes at 10:00 a.m, 12:00 p.m, 2:00 p.m on Sep. 24 (Sat), Oct. 22 (Sat), Oct. 23 (Sun) and Nov. 6 (Sun). You can borrow a yoga mat for free.

By the way, a new gondola lift will be open in December of 2024 in Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort! It will be built next to the old gondola line (Right side of the village station of the gondola). This gondola lift can bring 10 people at once and the transport capacity, wind resistance and quietness will be much better.

*”Hakuba DELI Seasonal Fruit Cake” is on sale every weekend until 9/25 (Sun) and in the Silver Week Holidays. It was featured by “Asada! Namadesu Tabi Salad” on Asahi Television and “Ekitele Marche” on Nagano Asahi Television. (JPY1,200, limited supply).
