Regular (daily) 2024 summer season operation began on 6/22 (Sat.)! In addition to the Goryu Telecabin, the Alps Observation Lift, ALPS360, and ESCAL Plaza will be open daily from 8:00 to 17:00. (*During early morning operation periods, times will be adjusted accordingly.) ESCAL’s Restaurant Hull has been renamed to Soba & Galette ‘Green Table’ and will open on 7/1 (Sat.). Natural Café SOL will open on 7/4 (Thurs.).
[Alps-Daira Nature Trail]

Since the start of the rainy season on 6/21 (Fri.), the weather has been mostly cloudy, and today the Northern Alps could be seen early in the morning, but were covered by clouds (pictured) that began to gather and obscure the sun around 8:30. On the Alps-Daira Nature Trail, the flowers of sarasadoudan (first picture), iwashi motsuke, and tani utsugi were at their best. Nikkokisuge day lillies were also beginning to bloom.

In the lower portion of the alpine botanical garden (pictured), there were many comacias in bloom. The Himalayan blue poppy will be in bloom in early July, and comacsas will be in bloom in mid-July. In the rock garden, Ibukijakousou, Reverdin’s staghorn, and Gentiana dinatarica were also increasing their flower counts.

In the lower part of the Alpine Botanical Garden, hiogi ayame irises (pictured) were beginning to bloom, and in front of ALPS360, kuroyuri, taitsuriso, kiiro-ikeshi were peaking. Furthermore, endangered varieties such as hotei-atsumoriso and kibana noatsumoriso were also in bloom at the bottom of the stairs in front of ALPS360.

*There is free parking for 1,500 cars around the Goryu Telecabin base station, enough that the parking lot is never full, even during the busy summer Obon holiday season. Escal Plaza will be open daily from 6/22 (Sat.) to 10/20 (Sun.).

*Night gondola service will be offered from 8/10 (Sat.) to 8/12 (Mon.).
