It was very warm unlike Sugadaira, +8.5 degrees, at 8:00 a.m, so I took off my jacket before going to ski. 2 high schoolers from Tokyo (Photo) said, “We came for our ski club training. We just started skiing when we got into our high school, so we are still beginners. One of our targets is participating in All Japan Student Ski Competition IWATAKE one day.”

The groomed slopes of Ura Taro Family East and Ura Taro Family West were slushy thickly and in wet corn snow condition. Ura Taro Schi Heil (Photo) was groomed, nicely firm and in corn snow condition. There were some bushes exposed on the skier’s right in the beginning and in the lower part, but it didn’t matter for riding.

By the way, Beat 1 and Schneider Triple had finished the winter operation on 3/21 (Tue). The groomed slopes of Wave, Heart Forest (Photo) and Skyline in Ura Davos were slushy and in corn snow condition. I found some bushes on the slopes.

A father of the family from Chiba Prefecture (Photo) said, “My child and grandson became able to ski, so we came to Sugadaira in last February after decades. This time, we enjoy spring snowboarding from yesterday. The slopes in Ura Davos are nicely gentle and quiet, so they are good for training kids.” The temperature was getting higher as time passed, so I got sweaty even though I wore just a T-shirt and fleece jacket.
