After the summer-like warm weather on 3/22 (Wed) and rainy days after that, Madarao Kogen still remains in the condition of “All courses are open (=Over 80% areas are open)!”. The beginning part of Champion was relatively flat off-piste, the middle (Photo) and lower part was groomed, slushy and in corn snow condition. I saw some parts had much less snow in the beginning and middle, but it didn’t matter for riding.

The fog over the ski area at around 8:45 a.m. broke away and it started to rain slightly. I moved to Crystal (Photo) through the wet corn snow groomed slope of Traverse by Super Quad. Today was a weekend, but the slopes were quiet because of the raining weather forecast.

Obviously, the middle (Photo) and lower part of groomed slope of Crystal had much snow still and it was slushy and in good corn snow condition. I heard people saying, “The snow is better than I expected!” and “Skis are running well!” Free Ride Park in the bottom area was also maintained well.

The groomed slopes of Paradise (Photo), Beginner A and B were slushy. These slopes had also enough snow still. By the way, Super Quad, No.11, No.12, No.13, No.15 will be closed tomorrow on 3/26 (Sun). During from 3/27 (Mon) to 4/2 (Sun), only the 3 lifts of No.1, No.2, No.3 will be open. 3/26 (Sun) and 3/27 (Mon) will be “Lift Free DAY”! (IC card deposit JPY500 required).
