Only 5 days are left until the last operation day this season. Because the warm weather and rain until Sunday made the snow reduce much, so now only 3 lifts of Stage 3, Tengu Quad and Hinode are open from 3/27 (Mon) (*From 8:30 a.m.). The groomed slopes of Ura Taro Family East (Photo), Family West, Usagi and Kamoshika were nicely melted and in good corn snow condition.

2 people who have the season pass from Ueda City (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We come often to Sugadaira because it just takes 30 minutes from our home. We will come snowboarding as long as the snow remains! However, we also visit Lotte Arai on weekends sometimes.” In the beginning part of Family West and East, the ground was exposed in some parts, but it didn’t matter for riding thanks to the wide courses.

I saw beginners and elementary schoolers on their training in Ura Taro Usagi Course “Photo”. The off-piste slopes of Hinode and Tengu were nicely melted and in corn snow condition. The ground was exposed widely in the beginning part of Tengu A Course, but we could avoid it by going to the detour course of Tengu Rinkan Course.

In Ura Taro Kamoshika Course (Photo), children of elementary schools were practicing in a pole course. The slopes got crowded with people at around 9:30 a.m. By the way, From 4/1 (Sat) to 4/30 (Sun), You can buy the adult 1 day ticket at JPY4,900 (Usually JPY5,500) of Hakuba Happo-one Ski Area by showing your season pass of Sugadaira Snow Resort at the Happo ticket office.
