The long-awaited early spring operation period for the Tsugaike Ropeway will begin on 4/1 (Sat.)! (*The ropeway will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in April and every day from May 1st to 7th. As for the ski resort’s inbound areas, Karamatsu High-Speed Pair Lift, Kane-no-raru-oka Skyliner II, Maruyama No. 1 Quad, and Shirakaba Quad closed on 3/26 (Sun.), and from 3/27 (Mon.) onwards, only the Tsuga-no-mori (pictured), Gotemba, Han-no-ki, Karamatsu, and Oya-no-hara courses are open for skiing.

It was a cool, cloudy start to the day today. The Tsuga-no-mori Slope (pictured) was groomed and in good, firm condition. In other news, the 2023 BANKED SLALOM TGK event scheduled for 4/15 (Sat.) has been rescheduled to take place a week earlier on 4/8 (Sat.) in order to accommodate the construction of the course.

The sun began to shine around 9:00. The area alongside the Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair Lift, where TG PARKS is now open, was groomed with a moderately loose, granular snow surface, while the lower half of the Han-no-ki Slope (pictured) had a slushier groomed granular snow surface. There were some narrow spots in the middle and at the end of the slope, but it was skiable without any problems.

On the other hand, there was just barely enough snow on the lower elevation Karamatsu Slope, while the nearby Oya-no-hara Slope still had a good amount of snow. The Tsugaike Chuo Triple (pictured), Tsuga No. 1 Pair, and Han-no-ki No. 3 are scheduled to remain open until the end of this weekend, 4/2 (Sun.).
