“SNOWBOARD MASTERS” was promoted and started in 2018 by Mr. Higashino Keigo, a famous Japanese writer. This season, “SNOWBOARD MASTERS 4TH GAME” was held in Yamabiko A Course. 2 people from Hyogo and Nara Prefecture (Photo) said, “We snowboarded in the course of the Freeride Performance yesterday as an official inspection, but it was difficult. We will do our best!”

One of the most suprising points of this competition is the prize. The prizes for the male division are two million yen for the 1st, one million yen for the 2nd, half a million yen for the 3rd and those for the female division are one million yen for the 1st, half a million for the 2nd, 3 hundred thousand yen for the 3rd. Participants were showing sharp turns in the course of Freeride Performance with the items such as banks, a halfpipe, table tops.

At the half pipe in front of the judge seats, people made shouts and cheers for the big air tricks and spray of snow. A snowboarder from Saitama Prefecture said, “I always enjoy your reports! Today, I came to support my friend who participates in SBM today, actually for drinking Sake of Nozawa Onsen. Nozawa Onsen is still amazing even in Spring!”

Mr. Kashima (Left on Photo) gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports! Of course you can take my photos, but you should use my photo on the report!” Mr. Ban (Center on Photo) said, “Actually, the carving session is hard for me after the freeride.” Mr. Inoue (Right on Photo) said, “It is difficult, but worth trying!” Tomorrow on 4/2 (Sun), Obstacle Slalom will be held.
