REPORT

In Kumanoyu, No.1 Pair and No.3 Pair are closed today and only one lift of No.2 Pair will be open from 4/3 (Mon) to 5/14 (Sun) (*No.4 Pair is closed this season). However, you can go to almost all parts of the ski area from No.2 Pair. The groomed slope of No.2 Beginner Course was firm and in corn snow condition this morning, but the surface melted at around 8:30 a.m, so we could enjoy carving comfortably.

At 8:45 a.m. when No.3 Quad was open, the groomed slope of No.3 Beginner Course (Photo) was slushy and in wet corn snow condition. In the upper part of the off-piste slope of No.3 A Course (Left in Photo), the ground was exposed widely. By the way, No.1 Pair was open at 8:15 a.m. and No.2 was closed at 8:25 a.m.

In Umanose Course, the beginning part (Photo) was nicely firm and in corn snow condition. In the middle part where the snow melted greatly, the snow was gathered in the 10 meter wide course. In that part, I saw experts skiing with short turns, beginners doing snowplow and beginner snowboarders skidding there.

A father from Tokyo (Photo) gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports! My son started skiing last December and he will enter his elementary school this spring. He is in the first grade in his school and skiing career.” The early morning operation (6:00-8:30) will be held on 4/22 (Sat), 4/23 (Sun), from 4/29 (Sat) to 5/7 (Sun)!
