After 4/3 (Mon) in Shiga Kogen, Ichinose Family, Mt. Yakebitai, Okushiga Kogen, Kumanoyu, Mt. Yokote Shibu-toge are open everyday (*Mt. Yakebitai is closed on every Wednesday) and Takamagahara Mammoth, Ichinose Diamond (*Closed on 4/15, 16, 22, 23), Terakoya are open on every weekend and from 4/29 (Sun) to 5/7 (Sun). 2 students from Chiba Prefecture (Photo) said, “There was no snow on the road, so I could drive my car easily.”

Now, Ichinose Family is the only ski area in Chuo Area which is open on weekdays. In the 3 courses of Main Area facing the north west, Panorama Course (Photo) and Tengu, there were no bushes and the ground exposed, so I could make smooth turns as I wanted on the well groomed firm slopes.

I met Mr. Yamada of Team Rescue Wax who I met in Sugadaira as well in Panorama Course. He said, “I’m staying for 2 days at Hotel Japan Shiga from yesterday. The slopes were hard in the morning, but the snow melted nicely after my first run.” He also said, “Yesterday, I had the hamburger at ALTO PIANO. The hamburger was thick and delicious.”

The sky was covered with the thin clouds and it was not too cold and hot, so the slope remained in good condition for a long time. On 4/8 (Sat) and 4/9 (Sun), “The 2nd Ichinose Parallel Slalom Competition 2023”. On 4/8 (Sat), there will be a competition memorial fireworks at 8:00 p.m.
