Happo-one REPORT

2023.10.061cm / Snow Clouds

The first snow of the season has already graced the ski slopes! Following the first snow on Hokkaido’s Mt. Asahidake in the Daisetsuzan area on 10/4 (Wed.), Mt. Fuji and other peaks in the Northern Alps including Mt. Shirouma, Mt. Goryu, and Tateyama received their first snowfall on 10/5 (Thurs.). Furthermore, today, 10/6 (Fri.), the upper portion of Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort’s Riesen Grat was blanketed in a thin layer of snow! (This comes 18 days earlier than last year!)! A strong, cold northerly wind was blowing as I snapped photos for my report (*Pictured: The slope stretching from Kurobishi to the Shakujii Cairn)
