Urataro Family East was open at 9:00 a.m. on 11/25 (Sat) and Sugadaira Kogen had started the 2023-24 winter season! Thanks to the first introduction of snowing machines of MND SNOW in French (Photo) in Japan, it was open 16 days earlier than last year. There were 2 besides the top station of Stage 3 Lifts, 2 in the middle of the course and 1 in the parking area.

Until 12/8 (Fri), you can ski in only the morning (9:00-12:00) or afternoon (11:30-15:00) with the half day ticket of JPY4,400 (*Extra JPY500 required as a deposit for both adults and kids). The width of the course was about 10 meters and the snow amount was 30cm. The groomed slope was flat enough to enjoy smooth riding.

Junior high school students from Hakuba Village (Photo) said, “We join Hakuba Ski Club. The slope is nicely firm for ski racers.” Today was a weekend, so people came to the slope from the early morning and I saw many groups of families as well.

The frozen trees were beautiful in the still closed courses of Omote Davos Heart Forest (Photo) and Omote Davos Wave Course. The fresh thin snow on the slopes were dry and powdery. I found some snowing machines in each course.
