The first weekend came to Kumanoyu which was open on 11/23 (Thu). People started to come to the ski area from the early morning and the parking area in front of Kumanoyu Hotel (*Free) was already almost full as of 7:00 a.m. During I was on No.2 Pair under the calm sunny sky, the beautiful groomed slope jumped into my eyes.

Now, only 1 course of No.2 Beginner Course (Photo, 600m) is open. According to the post on the official facebook account on 11/22 (Wed), the account said “Some parts are not having enough snow, still narrow and too thin to cover bushes and stones.” However, the course width was enough wide today on 11/26 (Sun) thanks to the artificial snow and natural snowfall from 11/24 (Fri).

A couple from Osaka (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We come to Kumanoyu every year. Especially, some riding in the morning was so amazing. We will move to Mt. Yokote Kaiwa Area from this afternoon.” The firm slope was getting softer as the ski tracks were increasing.

It is planning that Ichinose Family (Photo),Takamagahara Mammoth will be open on 12/1 (Fri) and Mt. Yakebitai (Right on Photo) will be open on 12/2 (Sat). The lower part of Front Area of Ichinose Family was covered with white snow thanks to the natural and artificial snow. By the way, Kumanoyu No.2 Pair A & B Line was open 8:15, earlier than scheduled. We needed to wait for the lift for 5-6 minutes at 10:00 a.m.
