There was a small drama from the last night to this morning when it was snowing heavily. Tsugaike announced that it would be open at 10:00 a.m. on 11/30 (Thu) last evening. After that, Goryu also announced that it would start the winter operation on the same day at 10:00 a.m. as well. Futhermore, Happo decided to be open at 9:45 a.m. on 11/30 (Thu) and Goryu changed the opening time to 9:40 a.m. on that day. As a result, Aible Hakuba Goryu Ski Area is the first ski area which is open in HAKUBA VALLEY in this 2023-24 winter season!

I met a snowboarder who was also the first guest in the 2023-24 season (1st Photo) and he gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports. Now I’m dropping off!” and he went snowboarding with the first track. “We always enjoy your reports! It’s so great!”, 2 people on the lift of Alps No.1 Pair said (Photo). Other people on the lift also said me, “Hi, I always check your reports! Don’t you ski, Snownavi?”

Panorama Course (Photo, 850m) was groomed until just before the opening. This is made of 100% natural snow, in an amazing condition and nicely firm with the 3-5cm fine snow. One of the patrol staff said, “The high season is coming already!” Although my chief editor gave me a direction to be back soon, I couldn’t help skiing one more run.

Today was a weekday and the ski area was open suddenly, so I didn’t wait for the lift during I was there for this report. A man living in Hakuba said, “I check your reports everyday! The snow reaches my back on the sides of the course!” We appreciate you for giving me many greetings such as “I came skiing after seeing your information!” and “I am looking forward to checking your reports of this season!”
