At 8:30 a.m. on 12/1 (Fri), Ichinose Family Ski Area and Takamagahara Mammoth Ski Area were open! Mt. Yakebitai Ski Area also decided to be open tomorrow as well. 2 people from Kyoto and Nagano (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We usually come snowboarding to Chuo Area as our main area. We will move to Takamagahara this afternoon.”
[Front Area, Ichinose Family]
In Ichinose Family, almost 60% of Front Area along No.2 Pair A Line (Photo) was open. The natural and artificial snow was nicely mixed and in good condition with the firm well slope. There were some bumps, but there were no bushes exposed, so I could enjoy skiing comfortably.

In Takamagahara Mammoth Area (Photo), the slope along Takamagahara No.2 Triple was open. Here was also bumpy a little, but the firm slope was good for riding. By the way, “The 56th Shiga Kogen First Track & Ski Area Opening Ceremony” will be held tomorrow on 12/2 (Sat).
[Takamagahara Mammoth Area, Takamagahara]
In Takamagahara, Takamagahara SKIWI SKI SCHOOL is open by the staff of Hotel Takimoto (Photo). Professional instructors who have experience of teaching skiing both in Japan and other country will give high quality lessons and you can get advice with headsets. Please check the lesson menus or schedules at the official website for the season after 12/1 (Fri).
