The Ueda Sugadaira Discount program ended on 2/12 (Mon.), and lift fees returned to normal on 2/13 (Tue.). (Snownavi’s advance discount lift tickets are a great deal for Davos/Taro area-only tickets.) Just like the three-day weekend last week, it was another beautiful “Sugadaira Blue” morning. The groomed Schneider Slope (pictured), with its moderately packed wet snow surface, was a pleasant place to repeat turns.

The moderately packed, groomed wet snow surfaces of Omote Davos West (pictured) and Omote Davos East were in good condition. Omote Davos East, Ura Taro Schi Heil, Taro, and Shirogane Schwarz were sectioned off for competitions and testing, and Ura Taro Super Racer will be reserved for private use tomorrow afternoon. (*There is also a restricted course at Pine Beak.)

The Oku Davos Family course was crowded with families, beginners, and people taking ski lessons, and it was there that I spoke with a mother from Saitama Prefecture (pictured). She told me, “I love your site! We came out with another family for the weekend to give our children a chance to practice. Tomorrow, 2/18 (Sun.), is a Kids Ski Free Day, and lift tickets for elementary school students and younger are free!
[Oku Davos Family]
Oku Davos Family had a moderately firm, groomed wet snow surface that was easy to ski. Operation of the Oku Davos No. 3 Pair Lift (pictured, right) was suspended, and the slopes along it were empty. In other news, the NSD Kids Ski & Snowboard Competition will be held on 2/24 (Sat.) and 2/25 (Sun.)!
