The winter pressure pattern with the strong cold wave brought good snow. A father from Ueda City (Photo) said, “Today is our 35th day to come to our home ski area of Sugadaira this season. My daughter participated in “NSD Kids Program Ski Snowboard Kids Competition” last February and she won in the class of 3 & 4th Grade Female.”

Oku Davos Family (Photo), Oku Davos No.1 Beginner and No.1 Intermediate were groomed, hard and in corn snow condition with 6cm of fresh snow. 2 people from Ueda and Saku City (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! I usually come riding to Sugadaira and this is the first time for him to visit here.” They also said, “We like this ski area with such wide slopes and good snow.”

In the free Kids Park of Oku Davos, a family from Tokyo (Photo) were enjoying to sled. The mother said, “We came here again because we had great fun the last time we came in the New Year’s holidays. I also like this big kids park.” It was getting warmer and warmer, so the fresh snow started to melt at around 10:30 a.m.

The groomed hard slope of corn snow in Schneider Area was also covered with 5-6m of fresh snow. Today was a holiday, but people were coming to the slopes slowly this morning. I was surprised at the almost fresh slope of Schneider with just a few spurs after skiing in Oku Davos and Omote Davos. I felt like I was skiing on a fresh slope in the early morning.
