As originally planned, Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort opened at 8:30 a.m. today, 12/14 (Sat.)! The Alps No. 1 (720m) and No. 4 (700m) lifts are operating, allowing access to the Hakunori Family Course and the Wakaguri Central Slope. If you’re looking for a wide, open, gentle slope for your first run, Hakunori is definitely the place to be.

On this first day, grooming was done on about half of the northern side of the Wakaguri Central Slope’s No. 4 lift (pictured) and across the entire Hakunori Family Course. Additionally, a winding groomed course was set on the southern side of the No. 4 lift, covering the width of one groomer. The soft, groomed sections were covered with a light layer of fresh snow, ranging from 3 to 10cm, allowing you to fully enjoy the feel of the powder snow, .
