The gentle 1,000m-long course along the No. 7 Lift, called Dog (pictured), offers excellent visibility, making it easy to keep track of family members, groups, or your dog while skiing. The owners of Mochi (pictured), who came from Nagano City, shared, “We’ve been coming here with our dog since last season.”

The Bull Course, located to the south of Dog (pictured), is another great run where dogs can run freely off-leash! After gently curving to the left and right, the groomed straight section is perfect for skiing, while the fluffy fresh snow along the sides of the course is ideal for playing. The owners of two Huskies (pictured) commented, “We came to Kurohime for the first time from Osaka. We found out about Kurohime through lift ticket sales at a dog event.”

The No. 8 Lift operates on weekends, holidays, and during the New Year’s period (12/29 to 1/3), allowing access to the Tiger and Weasel courses (pictured). A couple of pet owners from Tochigi and Saitama, who were playing with their dogs Rea, Rei, and Komugi on the Tiger course, shared, “We used to ski at Kurohime a lot during our school days. After learning that we could ski with our dogs, we started coming back last year.” All the courses in the area offered smooth skiing, with powder snow that was nicely compacted and easy to glide on.

The owner of Sun (pictured) shared, “Kurohime is close to Nagano City, so we often come as a family.” Both the No. 7 Lift (pictured) and No. 8 Lift in the Snow Dog Area are dog-friendly, with staff slowing down or stopping the lifts during boarding and disembarking, making it a safe and pleasant experience.
