Happy New Year, and thank you for your continued support! Our 2025 slope reports officially kick off today, and I was fortunate enough to run into a lively bunch from Osaka, Aichi, and other areas, who told me,“Hey Snownavi! We’re a group of Hakuba Valley season pass holders. Since we’re all together, please take our photo!”

With snow flurries falling, Hakuba Sanosaka Ski Resort was busy right from the early morning as the New Year holiday period continued. The groomed Paradise (pictured) run featured a firm wet snow surface, while the stretch from Lake Down to Lake View offered slightly softer wet snow. Both areas had a powdery feel, creating smooth and easy-to-ski conditions from top to bottom.

I ran into another group (pictured), who shared, “We always read your reports. Today, we’re participating in a program hosted by Hakuba Sports. The Carving slope felt great first thing in the morning.” Mr. Takebayashi from Hakuba Sports added, “Today, we’re holding a special ‘New Year’s Carving Camp’ exclusively for those who purchased OGASAKA snowboards from our shop. Hiroshi Koshii and Yuko Nakamoto from OGASAKA will be the instructors. Be sure to purchase your equipment at Hakuba Sports!”

A couple from Aichi (pictured, second and fifth from left), told me they were fans of Snownavi, and added, “Just like we expected, The groomers here at Sanosaka are beautifully maintained and easy to ski.” A snowboarder from Aichi, who was with them (pictured, third from the left), also shared, “The conditions are perfect for carving, and it feels amazing!”
