Early this morning, a gentleman from Saitama (pictured, left) told me, “I always read your reports! I also bought a season pass for Ninja! Today, I’m boarding with a friend from Kanagawa (pictured, right) and a friend from Niigata (pictured, center).” It began snowing around 8 a.m., and the weather shifted rapidly throughout the day, alternating between light snow, heavy snow, and glimpses of blue skies.

Blackbeat was groomed with moderately soft powder snow, while Drago (pictured) featured more tightly compacted groomed powder snow in comparison. Both offered excellent conditions, with my edges firmly gripping the surface and skis gliding smoothly! Thanks to the consistently low temperatures, snow in the non-groomed areas marked with tracks remained soft.

The early to mid sections of Shinko were groomed with moderately soft powder snow, while the later part of Shinko (pictured) and Nirei featured moderately firm powder bases. By the way, this Sunday, 1/19, is Kids Ski Day, when elementary school students can get a free all-day lift pass. Additionally, the Aurora Illumination Show “Borearizon” is being held after sunset on the nights before holidays in December and January this season.

This morning, I met three guests (one of whom is pictured) who later shared with me when I ran into them again later, “The groomed slopes offered excellent edge grip, and our carving was spot on. It felt amazing!” I also received countless greetings from Snownavi fans. Thank you so much for your kind words!
