Since yesterday morning, Line-C has been out of operation due to mechanical inspections. As a result, this morning, the upper portion of Route 1, Route 2, Route 3, and the lower portion of Route 8 also remained closed. However, Line-E (pictured, right) was running, allowing access to the upper part of Route 8 from the Panorama Course. While the base area remained calm, a strong northwesterly wind was blowing across Alps-daira, carrying dry snow through the air.

The Grand Prix Course (pictured) was groomed all the way to the edges and featured well-compacted wet snow with a powder-like feel, and the edges of my skis gripped the surface effortlessly. Meanwhile, the Panorama Course offered groomed wet snow that was closer to powder in texture, with a softer, moderately firm, flat surface compared to the Grand Prix Course.

The Dynamic and Woody courses featured firm and easy-to-ski groomed wet snow. There were firm, medium to large-sized moguls on the ungroomed steep slopes of the Expert Course. In the areas around the snow machines on the Toomi Slope, the well-packed wet snow was topped with a layer of soft artificial snow, providing a pleasant surface for skiing.

The Soft Cream Course (pictured) had firmly groomed wet snow, and was popular among beginners and novice skiers. Meanwhile, the upper section of the Sunny Way Course also also had a firm wet snow base, and the starting platform for the upcoming 53rd Annual Hakuba Goryu Riesen Slalom Competition, scheduled for this Sunday, 1/26, had already been set up.
