IWATAKE SNOW PARK (open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is a spacious terrain park that takes up about half of the width of the South Slope. The well-groomed, firmly-packed wet snow surface and elements were in top shape this morning. With occasional glimpses of blue sky, more and more riders were making their way in.

The park features a wide range of items catering to all skill levels, from difficult double down rails (pictured) to waves and low-profile boxes that sit almost flush with the snow. Plus, simply cruising through the park without trying any of the elements is totally fine, too! The relaxed atmosphere, with international visitors confidently riding in, made it an inviting space for everyone.

The park currently features 18 items, including: a 10m jump, 8m jump, 10m rail, narrow box, spine, 7.5m rail, two 4m jumps, box, two waves, cannon rail, 6m jump, double down rail, rail, donkey rail, rainbow rail, and a mini jump. Riders can loop the park via the 5sen South lift, and CHAVATY HAKUBA, located at the bottom, is the perfect spot for a break.

Late morning at HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR saw visitors from Australia, Asia, and beyond, creating an international atmosphere that, combined with the stunning alpine views, felt like stepping into another world. The cozy indoor seating area at THE CITY BAKERY (pictured, right) is also available for free use.
