Coming to the summit of Iwatake without skis reminds me of the pure joy of simply being in the snow-covered mountains. The crisp morning air, the feel of the snow underfoot, and the majestic 3,000-meter peaks so close you feel you could touch them… At HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR, the “Strawberry Cookie” hot chocolate, available from today through 2/21 (Fri.), was the perfect treat to warm me up.

At the IWATAKE WHITE PARK, the Yoo-Hoo! Ice Slider is a fun activity where you can even customize the course to your liking. A family from Nagano’s Chikuma City (pictured) shared, “We’ve been to Iwatake 2 to 3 times during the winter season. Skiing is fun, but playing in the snow like this with the kids is also great.”

The Pizza Making Experience (¥3,000), gives you the opportunity to enjoy pizza baked in a small oven inside a teepee. I spoke with a father from Matsumoto City, who shared, “I usually ski at Happo, but today I brought my kids to Iwatake.” His son, who ate the pizza (pictured), commented, “It was my first time making pizza. It’s super delicious!”

Today, not only HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR and the IWATAKE WHITE PARK, but also the deck in front Sky Ark and the surrounding area were bustling (pictured). At Hakuba DELI, various types of curry are available, including the “Hakuba DELI Curry” (¥1,100), as well as rice bowls like the “Shinshu Oishitare Karaage Don” (¥1,350). In addition, soups from Soup Stock Tokyo are also available.
