This morning, a snowboarder (pictured) enthusiastically called out to me, saying, “This is absolutely awesome! Yeah!” They were referring to the high-quality ‘Madapow’ that had accumulated, with about 40 cm falling from the night before yesterday to yesterday morning, and another 20 to 40 cm coming overnight and into the morning today! As a result, even though it was a weekday, a long line formed at the Super Quad before it started running, and soon, various parts of the resort were buzzing with excitement.

When you think of Madarao, the first thing that comes to mind are its abundant powder runs! And, of course, the numerous tree run areas! Today, SAWA I (pictured), with its fun bowl-shaped terrain, had about 40 cm of soft, fluffy new snow. A skier who went through at the same time as me shared “The snow was so soft and felt amazing!”

Additionally, the powder runs accessible via the Super Quad include River Line, the middle section of Giant, Crystal Bowl, Ninja, Rabbit, and Kamoshika, offering plenty of variety. Furthermore, by taking the No. 15 Lift starting at 9 a.m. or the No. 13 Lift starting at 9:15 a.m., you have access to even more courses, including Powder Wave 2 (pictured), allowing you to experience an endless supply of Madarao’s famous powder.

A group of four from Kanagawa and Tokyo (pictured) greeted me with, “Aren’t you from Snownavi? We always check your posts! The powder is amazing! Tell your editor to please use our photo!” The groomed courses all had fantastic conditions, with Crystal and Champion sporting moderately firm, groomed powder snow surfaces, and soft groomed powder bases available on Sky View and Sky Love.
