Voting is open for the “Tsugaike Favorite Restaurant Championship” until 3/14 (Fri.), so be sure to try a variety of dishes before voting for your favorite! At OMU CHEF OSAKA in TsugaikeYokocho, the “Chef’s Omu-Rice” (pictured, JPY1,800) features a creamy egg topped with a rich, savory white sauce and a garlic-infused basil sauce. The three types of mushrooms on top add a delightful texture, creating a delicious accent to the dish.

In terms of the slopes, the key word is powder, powder, and more powder! The snow quality on the slopes is perfect powder from top to bottom! After a delayed start due to snow removal work, I skipped the Tsuga No. 2 Pair lift and headed straight for the comfortably soft, groomed packed powder surface of the Gotemba Course (pictured). I noticed a number of people swiftly gliding through and heading towards the lower area of TSUGAIKE POWDER DBD.

On the other hand, there were also people hiking up the Tsuga-no-mori Slope. With 40 cm of new snow accumulating between last night and this morning, the base has now reached all the way up to the top of the newly-installed artificial snow machines on Tsuga-no-mori (pictured). I opted to ski on the comfortably soft groomed snow, heading from Han-no-ki, to the Forest Course and Shirakaba Slope, then on to the Champion Slope.

The Champion Slope (pictured), with its long, wide, steep terrain, and easy access with a single lift, is definitely a top recommendation this season. For those who prefer to ski on gentler slopes, head to the Tsugaike No. 1 Pair lift. A snowboarder from Saitama (pictured) commented, “I always check your updates! Yesterday, I enjoyed plenty of fresh powder. The soft groomed slopes today also feel great!”
