Nomugitoge Ski Resort is once again collaborating with the VTuber group “Aogiri High School” this season, all the way through the final day of operations on 3/23 (Sun.)! When purchasing a lift ticket of 4 hours or more at the ticket booth, simply mention that you watched the “collaboration video,” or make a purchase of JPY2,500 or more at the shop, and you’ll receive one random collaboration sticker (pictured, 5 designs in total).

The snow, which had been lightly falling in the base area before opening, was coming down heavily at the top of the resort, carried by winds from the north. The Rabbit Course (pictured) and Expert Course had a thin layer of fresh snow on top of a firm moist base that had a powdery feel, and my skis glided smoothly on the groomed surfaces.

The Champion Course 2 (pictured), with about 1 cm of light fresh snow, had a moderately-packed moist snow base that retained a powdery feel. Right after opening, visitors were concentrated on the Champion Course, so I took the opportunity to ski at my own pace on the quieter Champion Course 2, enjoying the same great conditions.

The Panorama Slope, Tatemizu-no-Saka, and Family Slope (pictured) each had 1 cm of light fresh snow over a hard-packed wet snow base that presented slightly difficult conditions for edge grip. With those tough conditions, it was impressive watching advanced skiers carving sharp turns past beginners and intermediate skiers, who were being more cautious. Additionally, today was “Nomugi Ita-ita Day,” offering half-price lift tickets for users of “Ita-ita” (skis or snowboards decorated with anime or manga characters) or cosplayers. (*This event will also be held on 3/8 (Sat.) and 3/22 (Sat.)).
