This morning, the sky was covered with thin clouds, and temperatures were unseasonably cold for March, registering as low as -9°C at the top and -8°C at the base. A beautiful covering of rime ice continued to coat the trees on the mid-to-upper areas of the resort. With the weekend crowd arriving early, the Toomi 1st, 2nd, and 3rd parking lots were already full by 9 a.m.

I was able to pick up speed comfortably on the well-packed, groomed wet snow surface of the Panorama Course (first photo). Meanwhile, the Grand Prix Course (pictured) and Dynamic Course featured hard packed, groomed wet snow bases. However, edges still held well, and the advanced skiers carving with precision were really impressive.

The Toomi Slope, which hosted sunrise skiing, had fine-grained, easy-to-ride corn snow. The GORYU WAVES park, which will have its final day of the season tomorrow, also offered smooth riding conditions. Meanwhile, starting at 5 p.m. today, the Hakuba Goryu & 47 Snow Festival will feature free night skiing, a torchlight descent, fireworks, and more!

The BURTON ‘26 Season Model Test Ride Event is taking place today and tomorrow in front of Escal Plaza (pictured, starts at 9 a.m., free participation, ID required). A staff member commented, “We brought some of next season’s recommended models—be sure to give them a try!” Additionally, tomorrow, the PEACEMAKER SNOWSKATE Test Ride Event will also be held at GORYU WAVES (from 9 a.m., free participation).
