The 15.5th Annual Slope Jack event has been taking place over the past two days. I spoke with a mother from Mie Prefecture, who told me, “We always check your site! My daughter (pictured), who’s in kindergarten, is fully embracing her role as Cure Wink from Pretty Cure.” When the camera was pointed at her, she struck pose after pose with confidence!

It was a calm morning, with plenty of clouds, which meant the temperature rose slowly. The frim, groomed granular snow on the South Slope and Sawa Course (pictured) provided a smooth and fast ride. Meanwhile, the ungroomed areas on the sides still had tracks from yesterday, which had now hardened, and a light layer of 3 to 4 cm of fresh snow on top.

VIEW C and D (pictured) had a firmly packed, groomed granular snow surface, but my edges held well without slipping. The Sunny Valley Course featured moderately firm, groomed granular base. The snow gradually softened in the areas exposed to the sun, but it was a smooth and enjoyable ride with effortless turns from top to bottom.

I met up with two men participating in the Slope Jack event (pictured), who commented, “We always read your reports! I’m dressed as a VTuber (left), and he’s cosplaying as a character from *Kantai Collection* (right). The weather is perfect for cosplay today.” I must say, both of them had impressively slim and stylish legs!
