I spoke with a pair of snowboarders from Gifu Prefecture (pictured), who were the first to hit HAPPO PARKS this morning (pictured), and was told, “This is our first time at Happo. We’ve only done a few runs so far, but the groomed slopes are amazing! We’re going to enjoy the day at Happo!” This morning, the HAPPO PARKS area was in excellent condition once again.

HAPPO PARKS featured moderately firm, groomed wet snow, with current park elements including a goofy bank (pictured), 8m kicker, 9m kicker, two multi-features, a knoll, frontside hip, spine, backside hip, and wave. By around 9 a.m., the surface of the slopes began to soften.

First thing this morning, blue sky was still visible. The Panorama Course (pictured), the area along the Kurobishi Quad, and the south route of Usagidaira offered moderately packed, smooth, and easy-to-ride moist snow. Meanwhile, the ungroomed areas along the Alpen Quad and Kurobishi 3 Pair had medium-to-large-sized moguls scattered across the slopes.

I met a couple from Aichi Prefecture (pictured), who shared, “We always check your reports! Whenever we come to Happo to ski, we look around wondering where the Snownavi reporter might be. We usually ski at Honoki Daira, Kiso Fukushima, and Kaida Maia.” The Kitaone Traverse Cat Track, Sakka Wave, and Sakka Slope were covered in softened granular snow, making for smooth and enjoyable spring-like skiing.
