On 12/13 (Tue), the lower part of Yamabiko D Course was open in Nozawa Onsen Ski Area. This groomed slope of mixed snow of natural and artificial snow has a length of 1,250m and average degrees of 15. This is one of the longest courses in this season (*The slope is groomed very widely as in the high season).

The slope was nicely firm, in good condition and the snow was getting softer as I skied down. 6 people from Nagano City, Iiyama City and Nozawa Onsen talked to me, “Hi, Snownavi! We always come riding to Nozawa Onsen Ski Area. We are really happy to have this snow, although it is 2 weeks later than last year! We will fully enjoy today!”

It is still not sure how many courses will be open from now. However, it seems that Yamabiko A – C and Uenotaira would be able to be open due to the snow from tomorrow to this weekend (*Snownavi’s expectation).

In addition to the lifts, Rental Shop salomon station (Photo, 8:00 a.m. -), Ishii Sports Collaboration Shop (8:00 a.m. -), Tune-up Shop GLATT (8:30 a.m. -) and Rest House Yamabiko (9:00 a.m. -, Meals from 10:00 a.m. -) are open now. Regarding the parking areas, No.1 close to Nagasaka Gondola is free on weekdays and JPY1,000 per car on holidays. No.2 and No.3 are free for one day parking.
