Sunday March 23rd marked a significant day nationwide, with many ski resorts ending operations for the season and others shutting down some or most of their lifts. With that said, Tsugaike Mountain Resort remains fully operational, with no changes to the number of lifts or slopes open! However, at the conclusion of 3/30 (Sun.), the following lifts will close: the Kane-no-naru-oka Skyliner II & Romance lifts, the Shirakaba Quad, the Han-no-ki No. 1 Quad, and the Karamatsu High-Speed Pair. Then, on 3/31 (Mon.), the Champion Quad and Maruyama No. 1 Quad will also close.

Three guests from Chiba (pictured), who were the first to hit the TGPARKS area, greeted me saying, “We always use Snownavi! Since HAPPO PARKS closed on 3/23 (Sun.), we came to Tsugaike specifically for the park. The snow is smooth, and it’s easy riding!” With each park element well-maintained and the slightly soft groomed granular snow, park conditions were good.

By the way, this weekend, on 3/29 (Sat.), “Yukiyama Zuki Atsumete Mita!” event will be held at the gondola mid-station and Yuki-no-hiroba areas. The event will feature a snowball fight tournament, a snowman GOGO! CHALLENGE, and a talk show hosted by Espyuki among many other exciting activities. This morning, the sky was hazy and had a yellowish tint due to airborne asian dust (pictured).

Early this morning, I ran into the manager of Tsugaike Mountain Resort (pictured) who said, “Thank you for your continued support. I was the first one on the Tsuga-no-mori Slope, but my skis weren’t on properly, and I ended up falling. I’m sorry you had to see that embarrassing moment.” The groomed areas of Tsuga-no-mori (pictured) and Han-no-ki had nice soft granular snow, making for a smooth ride.
