With the final day of the season approaching on 3/30 (Sun.), only four lifts are currently in operation as of 3/24 (Mon.): the Gondola, 4-Sen East, 5-Sen South, and View 2. While Iwatake still has plenty of snow, the winter season will not be extended, as the resort looks to prepare for the start of its spring sightseeing season on 4/24 (Thu.). This morning, the major Hakuba peaks mountains had a different feel due to airborne Asia Dust.
[HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR]

Not only was the view from HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR (first photo) hazy, but so was the scenery from the terrace of CHAVATY HAKUBA at the base of the South Slope (pictured). With the warm, pleasant weather, many visitors were seen in light clothing like hoodies and T-shirts. Both of the above facilities welcomed numerous guests utilizing sightseeing tickets. (Adults ¥2,900, elementary school students ¥1,600, pets ¥700)
[CHAVATY HAKUBA]

At CHAVATY HAKUBA, the Shinshu Apple Cream Sandwich Scone (pictured, ¥480) is available until 3/30 (Sun.). This treat perfectly pairs a cinnamon scone with whipped cream made from Gunma Meigetsu apples and white chocolate. CHAVATY’s scones are not only delicious but also more filling than they appear, making for a satisfying treat.
[CHAVATY HAKUBA]

At IWATAKE SNOW PARK (pictured), riders could be seen enjoying the features made for the “Daydream” event held on 3/23 (Sun.), including a pipe, pudding, rail, pool, and a 10m horizontal rail. “Find your favorite line and enjoy at your own level!” was the comment from one of the park diggers. Further below, there were a total of 10 other features, including a box, rainbow rail, and a 6m jump.
