The lift staff of No.3 Quad said, “The snow was not so heavy in Hakuba, but we had a lot of snow here in Otari today.” As he said, Hakuba Cortina was favored with good snow yesterday and today! Even in Kids Park in the base area (Photo), there was 30cm of fresh snow this morning.

After I took off No.3 Quad which was open 10 minutes later than usual, it was blowing a strong north wind. A man from Ikedamachi in Nagano (Photo) gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports! I come to Rabbit Course (Photo) after enjoying the powdery snow at No.4 Pair. It was amazing as well.”
[Rabbit Course]
The slopes of Rabbit Course (Photo) and Snake Course were groomed for a width of a piste crawler. We could enjoy smooth riding while raising a spray of 10-15cm fresh snow on the nicely firm groomed slopes. A man from Aichi (Photo) said, “Cortina is my favorite ski area!”
[Rabbit Course]
In the off-piste areas of Rabbit Course (Photo) and Kamoshika Course, there was 40-50cm of fresh snow. I could enjoy a great feeling of floating there! Furthermore, most people rushed into No.4 Pair, so I could ski as I wanted in Rabbit and Kamoshika, which were relatively quiet this morning.
