A world of white fresh snow and frozen trees like a painting. Nozawa has many long courses, but Kogenashi Course (Photo) is just 200 meters long. However, it has a wide enough slope with 18 degrees at the maximum and 11 degrees at the average. The snow was nicely soft and in good condition today, so I would like to ski there again and again by Skyline Connecting Pair.

Especially, the coldwave on 12/24 (Sat) and 12/25 (Sun) brought a lot of snow and “over a half of areas (=Over 50%)” was open in Nozawa Onsen Ski Area. The 2,000 meter long and wide slope of Uenotaira and 1,200 meter long slope of Paradise were also in a great condition. A skier said, “The weather is so good without winds. I am so happy to ski here thanks to this fluffy snow.”

Now, restaurants are open one after another. Uenotaira Lodge, Lodge Hakugin, Panorama House Buna Taro Koya, Uenotaira Sanso are open in Uenotaira and Paradise areas. In addition, Rest House Yamabiko and Kitchen Seavus are open in Yamabiko Area. The snow falling at 8:00 a.m. stopped at 9:00 a.m.

Hikage Area which is connected to accommodation area by Yu Road was open on 12/26 (Mon). You can go back to Nagasaka Gondola from Hikage Area by taking Hikage Triple and going through Kumataka Course. You can also move between Hikage and Nagasaka by Naski Go Line (Center on Photo) for using Hikage Area Nursery and Kids School. Hikage Area was crowded with families this morning.

*Happy New Year Night Operation & Countdown Fireworks Event will be held in Nagasaka Area. The night hours will be from 4:30 to 11:30 p.m. on 12/31. The fireworks will be set off at the New Year’s moment.
