We had a refleshing morning with the clear sky and no winds. 5 people from Shiojiri City in Nagano (Photo) gave me the greetings, “We always enjoy your reports! We go riding to Hakuba usually, but come to Madarao 3 or 4 times a season. Even the snow in the base area is good, so we are looking forward to riding in the upper part!”
[Paradise]
The groomed slopes of Paradise, the lower part of Giant (Photo) and Shirakaba Course were nicely firm. There were nicely soft small bumps in the off-piste area of the beginning of Giant. The half of Champion was groomed as well and we could enjoy smooth turns on the nicely firm groomed slope.
[Giant]
I came to Crystal (Photo) from the upper part of Giant through “Traverse” Course. Crystal faces the north, so most parts of the area were in the shade even at 9:00 a.m. No.11, No.12 and No.15 are open at 8:45 a.m, later than the other lifts, so the fresh slope with corduroy patterns remained for a long time.

After that, the north west wind was getting stronger. However, the sky was still clear and we could see Mt. Myoko and Japan Sea from the top station of No.15 Lift. The groomed slopes of Sky Love (Photo) and Sky View were nicely soft and in good condition as well.
