An expert snowboarder riding in Expert Course of Okushiga Kogen again and again said, “The slope is so good that I can make smooth turns. Why don’t you stop shooting and enjoy skiing?” This steep slope was groomed from yesterday on 12/27 (Tue) and it was nicely firm and in a great condition today!

I was excited with the comfortable sounds of my footsteps of the fresh snow while walking from the gondola station. The first guest here said, “I passed my breakfast to come riding this fresh slope this morning. The groomed slopes are much better than I expected.” No.3 Area (Photo) made me feel like I was so good at curving.

A couple from Tokyo (Photo) said, “We are staying in Shiga Kogen for 4 days, but we finally have a good day again.” The groomed slopes of Long Course and Downhill Course (Photo) along the gondola are nicely firm. Hillside Course on the skier’s left from Downhill was not groomed and there were soft bumps.

A patrol working in No.4 Area said, “No.4 Area will be open tomorrow.” It means, “all areas” of Okushiga Kogen Ski Area will be open tomorrow on 12/29 (Thu) and we will be able to go to Mt. Yakebitai!
