On 12/29 (Thu), Giant Pair and Higashidateyama Gondola were open, so finally we can move from Giant to Okushiga Kogen while wearing skis! (*We have to walk at some parts between Giant and Hasuike) The groomed slope of Tanne Forest (Photo) located between Takamagahara and Ichinose Family was firm well and covered with 3-5cm light fresh snow.

The slopes of Ichinose Family Front Area and Tengu Course were also firm well, covered with 3-5cm fresh snow and in good condition. In the lower part of the Front Area, the night peration started on 12/24 (Sat). Night skiing operation is held in Kumanoyu, Mt. Yakebitai, Ichinose Diamond, Takamagahara Mammoth, Maruike and Sun Valley.

The upper part of Takamagahara Mammoth was groomed firm with 5cm fresh snow on the slope and the lower part was groomed and nicely firm. By the way, Terakoya was open at 9:30 a.m. today on 12/30 (Fri) and all areas are available! Finally, all of the ski areas in Shiga Kogen are open now.

I came to Ichinose Diamond from Ichinose Family through the bridge which allows us to walk by skis. From Rabbit Course, we could see the wide course of Ichinose Family and unique slopes among trees of Tanne Forest and Okojo Forest. In Ichinose Diamond, I saw people practicing at the poles on the nicely firm groomed slope.
