On 1/12 (Thu), “Ski Day Special Event” was held. I met 2 people from Tokyo and Nagano City (Photo) who gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports!” and the skier on the left said, “I was pretty sure that you, Snownavi, would come here today!” By the way, I noticed they are not friends, but just met in the ski area today after I took their photo.

At this event, we could take Nagasaka Gondola at 8:30 a.m, 30 minutes earlier than usual, and ski down from Skyline Course (Photo), Kitsune Course to Nagaska Area. Any people who had tickets such as a 1 day ticket or season ticket could join this event for free. It will be held on 2/20 (Mon) again.

The groomed slope of Skyline Course, a narrow steep slope on the ridge which has 25 degrees at the average, 32 degrees at the maximum and the length of 5 kilometers. A man who took a photo in the middle of the course said, “The view and snow are so amazing!” The groomed slopes of Kitsune Course and Nagasaka Area (Photo) were nicely firm and in wet snow condition.

The village area was in the thick fog because of the coldness brought by the radiative cooling and it made a fantastic view of the frozen trees. As the temperature got higher toward noon, the ski area was in the haze at 10:00 a.m. By the way, SALOMON SNOWBOARD Test-riding Event will be held on 1/13 (Fri) and 14 (Sat). 1/15 (Sun) will be “Ski Kids Day” as well.
