Expert Course in Okushiga Kogen Ski Area has 30 degrees at the maximum, 23 degrees at the average and a length of 630 meters. You can enjoy this good slope with No.1 Area (Max. 8 degrees, Average 6 degrees, 900 meters) by No.2 High Speed Pair. Both the flat slope in the morning and bumpy slope in the afternoon are good for experts.

A snowboarder from Hiroshima Prefecture (Photo) said, “I bought the season pass this year. I could enjoy carving turns on the firm groomed slope of Expert Course. It gets foggy now, so I will move to other ski area.” I saw people making sharp turns on the groomed steep slope in the wet snow condition.

The groomed slopes of No.3 and No.4 Area were nicely firm and in great condition. Especially, the snow condition of No.4 (Photo) was so amazing! However, the fogs came up as time passed, so the slope was quiet for a long time.

I met a skier from Tokyo (Photo) this early morning and he said, “I always stay at Okushiga Kogen Hotel with my family every time we come to Shiga Kogen. I love their dishes and comfortable rooms.” The temperature went down to even -10 degrees due to the radiative cooling. It started to fall dry snow at 8:30 a.m. and we felt much colder than the actual condition.
