Yesterday on 1/14 (Sat), it was not rainy, but was still so warm all day. The slopes got melted on the day, so they got hard this morning because of the coldness. Davos East Course (Photo) was partially closed for Suginami-ku Residents Sports Festival Winter Ski Competitions and the divisions of Slalom and Grand Slalom were held today.

The fogs covering Davos Area this morning went away as time passed and we could see the blue sky at 8:00 a.m. The groomed slope of Davos West Course (Photo) melted slightly thanks to the sunlight, so the edges of my ski worked well and I could enjoy riding smoothly.

A mather of a boy from Ueda City who was playing with the snow in Oku Davos Kids Park (Photo) said, “The elder son went skiing with my father. He seems not to like skiing…. I hope we will be able to enjoy skiing together one day.” Today is the 3rd Sunday in January and “Ski Kids Day”, so I saw many families enjoying in the ski area.

Oku Davos No.1 Triple was open at 8:20 a.m, 10 minutes earlier than the schedule. The groomed slope of Oku Davos No.1 Beginner Course (Photo) was firm and in wet snow condition. There were small bumps on the slope, but my skis ran well.
