Mt. Myoko (Photo, 2,454m), one of the one hundred mountains of Japan and the highest mountain of Hokushin Five Peaks, made a beautiful contrast in the blue sky. From Kurohime Kogen, we can see the amazing view of the mountain known as “Shinano Fuji”. By the way, Mt. Kurohime (2,053m) is called as “Shinano Fuji” as fell (There are over 400 mountains which have the alias of “Fuji”).

At around 10:00 a.m, the clouds broke away and the blue sky spead out over us. The groomed slopes of Monkey, Leo and KUROHIME FAMILY PARK (Photo) were nicely firm and in wet snow condition. I met elementary school students who were taking a ski lesson and they said, “I did not feel fun at first, but now I am enjoying skiing because I am getting better!”

The item of Tunnel (Left on Photo) was closed for safety problem today, but usually, we can go through it by skiing and sledging. The moving walkway newly opened this winter in front of Cosmos Plaza was crowded with people in their lessons.

Mr. Sakai (Second from the left on photo), the representative of Kurohime Snowboarding School, said, “Today, we are doing the lesson for people who will try the instructor license and the technical competitions. Today, the slopes are not bad, but a little too soft.” I found deep spurs on the nicely firm groomed slope of Dragon (Photo).
