The weather forecast said a big cold wave which may comes once in a decade will arrive this evening, however, we had the soft sunlight in the base area at 8:30 a.m. The groomed slopes of Ipponmatsu Course (Photo) and Ikenota were nicely firm and in wet snow condition. I could enjoy smooth turns there.

It started to snow in the weak north west event in the upper areas at 9:00 a.m. The groomed slope of Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course was nicely soft and I enjoyed cruising there. Itadaira Course (Photo) was groomed, firm and in wet snow condition. My skis ran well there, but the edges also worked well.

I met a group of 4 people from Hong Kong (Photo) and they said, “We have been staying for a week in Hakuba and enjoying many ski area such as Happo and Cortina. Not only the snow, but also the food is so good here! We will enjoy JAPOW fully!” This morning, 60-70% of the guests are from other countries and I could hear various languages.

A mother from Australia (Photo) said, “This is our first time to come to Cortina. We are happy to play with many items with my children!” You can enjoy snow rafting (Photo) at JPY1,500 per person for 10 minutes. (*Children from 3 to 5 years old needs to be with their parents)
