After the closing of No.4 and No.5 Pair yesterday, they were finally open today! People started to make a line to NO.2 Quad even 30 minutes before the open and the last point reached No.3 Quad Lift. To avoid getting too crowded, No.2 Quad was open 8:27 a.m, No.4 Pair was open at 8:45 a.m. and No.5 Pair (Photo) was open at 9:30 a.m.

The fresh snow fallen from the last night to this morning was not so much, 10-15cm, but the total snowfall in the last 2 days got over 60cm deep. The feeling under my foot was just so soft. Giant Course (Photo) welcomed us a lot of fluffy snow!

Although we had the soft sunlight sometimes as the clouds gradually broke up, it was still snowing in the weak north wind. The off-piste areas including Mt. Hieda Course 2 were in great powdery condition! I could hear shouts of joy from everywhere, while it was relatively quiet in Ikenota which was groomed and nicely soft.

Today was definitely “THE DAY”. Mt. Sato from THE DAY HAKUBA came with his 2 customers and said, “We had an amazing day today!” THE DAY HAKUBA is a snowboard brand focusing on the mountains in Hakuba.
