In Nomugi-toge which was open on 12/23 (Fri), Skyliner was open on 12/29 (Thu) and Sky Rabbit open on 1/1. After that, the ski area was closed temporarily from 1/20 (Fri) to 1/25 (Wed) due to the COVIT-19 infection, but reopened on 1/26 and all courses were open. A man from Shiga Prefecture who has the season ticket (Photo) said, “I have come here at least 5 times this winter already. I love this ski area because it’s not always so busy. I also like these slopes ideal for curving.”
[Champion Course]
It was so cold this morning, -16 degrees, because of the big cold wave and the radiative cooling. I could hear the comfortable sound of the fresh snow while I was walking on the groomed slope after getting off Skyliner. We could see the beautiful mountain views of Mt. Norikura (Center on Photo) and the Northern Alps from everywhere in the ski area.
[Panorama Area]
The groomed slopes of Rabbit Course, Champion Course (Photo) and Panorama Area were in great condition! The slopes were not crowded with people this weekday morning in January and the guests were enjoying riding in the nicely firm slopes of Rabbit Course and Champion Course mainly.
[Champion Course]
I found small snow balls on the firm groomed slope of Tatemizu-no-saka. The off-piste area of Minenohara was hard and icy. There were bushes in the beginning part and 10-15cm fresh snow on the slope in the lower part.
