Although we could see the blue sky slightly through the breaks of clouds, it was snowing quietly. While I was on Nagasaka Gondola (Photo), I was amazed with the view of the frozen trees. There was 10cm fresh snow in the base area and 20cm fresh snow in the upper area of the ski area.

In the nicely soft groomed slope of Uenotaira Area (Photo), I could hear people saying “I don’t feel pain even I fall down!” and “It’s so soft!” The items along Uenotaira Four of 4m Straight Box, 4m Rainbow Box, Wave, 4m Kicker, 5m Kicker and Half Pipe were groomed well.

I met a man in the costume of Kaonashi from a famous Japanese animation and he said, “Ah…, ah…, ah… (=I always check your report when I go skiing)” and gave me a gold-like candy. A group from Osaka Prefecture also said, “We will stay in Nozawa Onsen for a night. We are looking forward to taking the Onsen after skiing.”

The groomed slope of Skyline Course (Photo) was nicely firm and in good condition as well. A skier I met in the middle of the course said, “The course already got rough much earlier than I thought.” However, I saw many experts skiing down with high speed turns there.
