It seems that people are finally starting to realize how attractive Hakuba Sanosaka is with its excellent powder snow, precision-groomed slopes, a parking lot conveniently located right off Route 148, reasonably-priced lift tickets, terrain that is less susceptible to wind, and more! This morning, I spoke with a family from Matsumoto (pictured), who said that they are fans of Snownavi and that they often come to Sanosaka for skiing. They added, “The slopes are in great condition again today.”

Later I had a chat with a snowboarder from Matsumoto (pictured), who said, “I love your site so much! It’s very exciting to finally meet a reporter from Snownavi. I snowboard at Sanosaka quite a lot.” The sky was cloudy, but bright, with faint sunshine. With the temperature at a brisk -10°C, the groomed snow surface squeaked as I walked across it.

The Paradise Slope (pictured), Paradise Downhill, and Carving Slope all had perfectly groomed, moderately firm powder snow surfacest; the kind of conditions that instantly improve your skiing. In other news, tomorrow, 2/5 (Sun.), access to a portion of the Carving Slope will be restricted due to the “Waseda-Keio Match.”

A father from Nara Prefecture (pictured) that I ran into out on the slopes told me, “I always check the Snownavi site! My two older children are on a ski racing team, so we come to Sanosaka almost every week.” Today, the slopes got busy very quickly, and as of 10:00 a.m., the upper level of the parking lot was already almost full.
