This morning I spoke with a father from Nagano City (pictured), who told me, “I often check Snownavi before I go skiing. For us, Kurohime is close and there are a lot of beginner slopes so it’s perfect for skiing with children.” The snow that began last night was still falling this morning, and there was 15 to 20cm of light, fresh new snow in front of Cosmo Plaza.

Visibility was poor due to dense snow and fog. The groomed Leo (pictured), Blackbird, Monkey, Dog, Bull, and Dragon slopes, as well as the KUROHIME FAMILY PARK, had very nice, moderately soft powder snow conditions! My edges sunk deep into the snow surface, but my skis slid well, and I was able to make comfortable turns.

Mouse (pictured), located on the upper portion of the ski resort, had a moderately firm, groomed powder snow surface. I ran into a couple from Aichi Prefecture (pictured, left & center) and a man fro Kanagawa Prefecture (pictured, right), who told me that they are all fans of Snownavi and that they met eachother on the slopes and are skiing together. They added, “The snow quality is really good and it’s fantastic skiing everywhere!”

On the SNOW DOG AREA’s Dog (*leash required) and Bull (*leashes not required, pictured) courses, I saw many people out with their dogs since it was Sunday. Three visitors from Saitama Prefecture (pictured) commented, “It’s our first time here, and we decided to come after seeing a post on SNS. There is place like this where you can ski with your dog on such a large slope. It is really great!” (Check out this video.)
