Shirakabako Royal Hill is located on the highland (Altitude 1,450 – 1,750m) and facing to the north, so the snow quality is remained good with the snowing machines. It has also good access to the expressway such as 40 minutes to Suwa IC of Chuo-do, 40 minutes to Suwa Minami IC, 60 minutes to Saku Minami IC of Joshinetsu-do. The temperature went down to -10 degrees this morning because of the radiative cooling.

A snowboarder from Yamanashi Prefecture (Photo) said, “I come here often because the slopes are good for training. Today, the slopes seem to be relatively hard.” The groomed slope of Panorama C Course which has the maximum degree of 16, average degree of 15 and length of 500 meters was nicely firm. I saw people skiing there again and again.

Panorama B Course along No.2 Quad (Max. 20 degrees, Ave. 16 degrees) was groomed and firmer than Panorama C. My skis ran too fast there, so I try to controll my speed carefully. The blue sky spread out over us after the clouds covered the sky for 30 minutes at around 8:45 a.m.

The slopes were crowded with the students on their school trips today. Alpen Course along No.1 Quad is open at nighttime everyday until 3/21 (Tue) and this is only the slope which is open for night skiing in Shirakabako Area. The slope is groomed after the day operation, so you can enjoy the fresh slope!
