From 2/6 (Mon) to 2/12 (Sun), “The 2nd Goryu Yonnana Snow Statue Contest” is held. If you throw your vote in the voting box or upload a photo of the statues, you will have a chance to get the accommodation ticket or 1 day lift ticket for the next winter. One of the staff said, “It took a week to finish this great buddha statue (Photo)!”

The groomed slopes of Route 5, 6, 7 (Photo) were in wet snow condition. The whole slope of Route 7 was relatively hard. We could enjoy smooth carving on the nicely firm slopes of Route 5 (Photo) and Route 6.
[Route 7]

A father from Mie Prefecture (Right on Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We are staying at Mountain Lodge Wiz and enjoy riding in Goryu47 today, Happo tomorrow and Kashimayary on the day after tomorrow. I used my photo taken by you for the Happy New Year’s card!” The snow was falling slightly in the early morning, but it was getting heavier at around 9:00 a.m.

The upper part of Route 1 (Photo) was groomed, nicely firm and in good codition! The lower part of Route 1 was hard because of the artificial snow. In front of Gondola Bottom Station in Hakuba47, “MOSSSNOWBOARDS Test-riding Event” will be held on 2/11 (Sat) and 2/12 (Sun). “FOSSIL SNOWBOARD Test-riding Event” will be held on 2/12 (Sun) and 2/13 (Mon) as well.
