Everytime the cold pressure pattern goes over the south area of Honshu, it snows in Sugadaira! In the wet snowing, a mother from Chiba Prefecture (Right in Photo) said, “We are staying from 2 days ago. We come to Sugadaira every year and especially this winter, we got the season pass of NSD Kids Program, so come here often.”

It was not so cold with the temperature of -2 degrees, but we felt much colder actually because there was no sunlights. The groomed slope of Omote Davos Panorama (1st Photo) was nicely firm and those of Omote Davos West (Photo) and East were firm. My skis ran well with sharp turns in those slopes.

The ski and snowboard lesson for students staying at Sugadaira Sun Hotel and Hotel Yamabiko was started at 8:45 a.m. in every slope. After that, it was getting foggy. The groomed slope of Ura Davos Wave Course (Photo) was nicely firm and in wet snow condition. It was thickly foggy in that slope, so people try to control their speed carefully.

Omote Davos Area got busier again at around 9:00 a.m. because the students came out from Sugadaira Prince Hotel for their ski lessons. By the way, during the 2 days from 2/18 (Sat) to 2/19 (Sun), “JSP SKI FORUM on SNOW 2023” will be held in Ura Taro Family Course!
